The Setting - 2nd Annual Invitational Tournament, Hollywood CA

In 2009, Taddy McKell and John Coscia won the 1st Annual Pigs Invitational Tournament.  In 2010, they finished last.  One reason for their pitiful defeat, The Oinker.  It can be a killer.  Even though there's a hint of a smile on Taddy's face and under John's hands, it was not a pleasant moment for either of them.  After a long day of second-guessing eachother's strategies and publicly embarrassing eachother following one bad roll after another, this Oinker was arguably the last straw... the end of the road... the fat lady had sang... their fate had been sealed... the Pig Gods have spoken... and it was then their turn to inscribe the winner's trophy.

The Setting - The morning after the first Pig Madness tournament, Venice CA

The first Pig Madness tournament - Saturday August 6th, 2005.  There were doubts it could even be pulled off, but with the promotion and help of numerous friends, this inaugeral tournament started what could never be dreamed of before that historic day.  There were only 22 players, but everyone had so much fun and it got such great word-of-mouth, the rest is history.

In this photo: Matt Breen and Perry Day.  Matt Breen brought a free keg all the way from San Diego & Perry Day hyped this tournament like it was a free Rolling Stones concert.  The two of them reminiscing about the great turnout and the endless fun the morning after as they emptied the remains of the keg from their hungover brains says it all.  A job well done. By all.  And the anticipation for Pig Madness II had begun..
The Morning After...
